Qualche giorno fa pensavo di scrivere un post sul Natale, affrontando un tema diverso dei babbi natali impiccati alle finestre. Però, poi, un lettore mi ha mandato questo commento in riferimento al post precedente:

“Se vogliamo dire le cose come stanno, le donne al giorno d'oggi sono dei militari, nei modi di fare, litigiose, molte sono cozze e sboccate. L' articolo e' banalissimo e retorico, come quelle donne che ripetono in continuazione "non ci sono piu' gli uomini di una volta" e poi nemmeno si accorgono di essere more 'men of us boys without a hint of femininity' ... Anonymous "

Dear reader (I hate to use that tone so cold but did not know I can not help it), I thank you for the comment because it allows me to address an issue not simple but I know in my heart: the image of women today.

I admit it, many women today are described as the reader-like dictators, quarrelsome and hysterical, "and lead by mussels, without femininity. This type of woman is not, despite what may seem, the result of feminism, but it is a female model imposed by modern society. If you turn on the television, what kind of donna vedete? Sicuramente non vedete una donna femminile, che parla in modo pacato, che rispetta l’interlocutore ed attende in silenzio il proprio turno per parlare; si può vedere una donna con gli “attributi” (a volte anche veri), che vede urlare per attirare l’attenzione ed imporre il suo pensiero, ma anche una donna silenziosa, dove la sua presenza è giustificata da una “prestanza” fisica, ridotta quasi ad un oggetto sessuale per il piacere degli uomini che così non cambiano canale.

Bene, dovete sapere che il 68% del pubblico televisivo è composto da donne. Se la televisione è un mezzo di comunicazione, che cosa stanno comunicando queste donne alle loro telespettatrici? Potrà sembrare assurdo, ma il potere della comunicazione televisiva è talmente forte che è in grado di distorcere la realtà. Vi faccio l’esempio del Grande Fratello, dove nulla è lasciato al caso: le inquadrature sono tutte studiate per dare un determinato messaggio, i partecipanti sono accuratamente selezionati in base alle esigenze di ascolti…tutto segue un preciso “copione” fatto dagli autori, che sanno benissimo come funziona il mondo della comunicazione. Eppure tutti credono che il programma sia reale (e soprattutto improvvisato)!

Le donne della televisione diventano il modello di riferimento per le altre donne a casa. Se non sei come loro, se non ti trucchi come loro, se non ti atteggi come them, unless you act like them ... you can not consider yourself a woman! I, like other women, now I do not watch more television, though not strictly necessary as the news (where even the Anchorman are carefully selected and dressed up to bring the model of a woman winning today.) I swear that I, when I see these women who scream and rant like chickens, I am ashamed of being a woman! I will absolutely not be compared to them! We would like to own a beautiful revolution from below, where all the women rebel against the proposed model ... but unfortunately, I live in my anarchist utopias ...

However, I recommend you see two works on the subject. The first is "The body of women", documentary by Lorella Zanardo, 25 minutes, using a woman's body on TV (I also found online). The second is "Videocracy" by Eric Gandini, the film because of the scandal is seen as critical to our prime minister. Now, I have seen the movie and I can assure you that the prime minister is only a backdrop. The film is a critique of the entertainment world in general, not just television.
