Someone will hate me for what I'm writing, but not I have to speak my mind on the issue of alcohol and young people. Lately people are talking about warning young people and alcohol, school children and minors who get drunk to go up in ethyl coma ... a problem as old as the dawn of time but that, on time, every summer finds a way to come to the fore!
What I noticed, and that pushed me to write this post, is terrorism that is being done around the theme of alcohol: If a guy one night binge drinking, is considered an alcoholic, a glass of wine destroys millions of cells of the brain, a glass of alcohol takes 5 years of life. Not to mention the decision to ban alcohol at festivals, or to increase the price, or spend an evening without putting alcohol ... in atto così il proibizionismo che, come si sa, non ha mai risolto i problemi. Concordo con il fatto che l'alcol è una sostanza tossica e che crea dipendenza; quello che non bisogna fare è criminalizzare il singolo bicchiere.
Il problema dei giovani ubriachi esiste da sempre: pure i nostri nonni bevevano da giovani e si ubriacavano anche loro. Questo non vuol dire che io sono favorevole alle sbornie, ma solo che non ci dobbiamo scandalizzare. Ma a differenza dei tempi dei nostri nonni, i ragazzini di oggi non conoscono quello che bevono; vedono l'alcol come qualcosa di proibito e pericoloso...e durante l'adolescenza tutto quello che è proibito e pericoloso bisogna provarlo. I do not think the problem is the young man who gets drunk one evening, but the young man who gets drunk every night. There we can speak of alarm and there you can start talking about alcoholism, which, remember, is a problem that also causes psychological as well as "liquid." I would point out that alcoholism is not just about the single persona, ma anche l'ambiente familiare...ed il problema non è solo del singolo, ma di tutta la famiglia. Se si vuole aiutare qualcuno ad uscire dal tunnel dell'alcolismo, proibire l'alcol non serve a nulla; ci si deve rivolgere a strutture specializzate nella cura del problema e non tentare il "fai da te".
Lo so già quello che state esclamando: "da che pulpito viene la predica...", visto che ben sapete che sono stata cresciuta a grappa. Ma dovete anche sapere che ho visto con i miei occhi gli effetti dell'alcol su giovani che non avevano ma bevuto nella loro vita ed è proprio per questo che si dovrebbe insegnare ai giovani a conoscere quello che stanno bevendo (come anche quello che mangiano).
